The local pour is a $7 glass of house wine or a discounted draft, then a plate of something the kitchen clearly wanted to show off. Windows cluster downtown and Midtown, 3 to 6, bar only.

Downtown pours by the dollar

Prelude Kitchen & Bar (1117 11th St) posts Happy Hour Available Monday – Friday From 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM At The Bar, with Red, White, Sparkling Wine & Draft House Selection 7 and House Spirits 9 — read as $7 wine and drafts and $9 house spirits — plus a Lemon Drop 11 and a Passionfruit Margarita 11. Plates run $8 parmesan truffle fries, $10 Caesar salad, and $12 seasonal flatbread. A few blocks over, Cafeteria 15L (1116 15th Street) posts Happy Hour Monday–Friday 3–6 PM, not available on show nights, with $7 well cocktails and house wine, $7 select plates, $8 additional plates, and a $9 spicy ahi tuna poke.

Midtown and East Sac answer back

Paesanos Midtown (1806 Capitol Ave) posts happy hour Monday–Friday 3–6pm with $6 House Wine & Sangria, $6 Draft Beer & Well, $8 House Cocktails, and $7 Appetizers — the page names Bocce Balls, Bruschetta, Polenta Fries, and Fried Ravioli. In East Sacramento, OBO' Italian Table & Bar (3145 Folsom Blvd) posts Happy Hour Monday – Friday, 2pm – 5pm in the dining room, bar, and patio, with $5 All Spritzes, $8 All Signature Cocktails, $5 Parmesan Fries, $10 Meatball Sliders (three), $10 Lemon Parmesan Wings, and $15 pizza, margherita or pepperoni.

How to drink it like a local

  • Early: $5 spritzes at OBO' in East Sac, inside the weekday 2–5.
  • Golden hour: $6 wine and $7 apps at Paesanos in Midtown (Mon–Fri 3–6) or $7 wine and wells at Prelude downtown (Mon–Fri 4–6, bar only).
  • Second stop: Cafeteria 15L's $7–$9 plates, Mon–Fri 3–6 except show nights.
